Still going strong
Hi
Just learnt about wikis today. Very interesting I can see a lot of uses for them. In the museum arena I have just finished ethics and about to start legislation. Both courses are interesting and challenging.
Cheers

Doing two courses at once
Hi
I am not only doing Museums Studies. I have also started doing an short online with the State Library of New South Wales. This week was learning about RSS feeds. Very interesting results.
The museum course is going well, I found a few museum based blogs that look very helpful.
Cheers

Welcome
Hi Everyone
Welcome to my new bog about me and my journeys from the world of libraries into the world of Museums. Believe it or not both worlds may look the same from a cursory glance, delve a bit deeper and you start to see the differences. Yes both worlds look after collections, but not only are the expectations of visitors different, the way we look after our collections in accessioning, processing/preserving are vastly different. After just starting a postgraduate course in Museum Studies I have been exposed to some interesting issues that affect Museums and "cultural' collections. Lots of hard but, interesting work ahead for me.
