Hi Everyone
Welcome to my new bog about me and my journeys from the world of libraries into the world of Museums. Believe it or not both worlds may look the same from a cursory glance, delve a bit deeper and you start to see the differences. Yes both worlds look after collections, but not only are the expectations of visitors different, the way we look after our collections in accessioning, processing/preserving are vastly different. After just starting a postgraduate course in Museum Studies I have been exposed to some interesting issues that affect Museums and "cultural' collections. Lots of hard but, interesting work ahead for me.

- I am a thirty something mother of three who is recently finished a post graduate course in Museum Studies. I have worked in libraries for many years and have enjoyed most apects of this occupation. Due to a change in organisations I have now expanded my skills base to include museum studies.
